Berkeley punk vets The Mr. T Experience are reissuing their classic 1994 EP ...And the Women Who Love Them on August 14 via Sounds Radical (pre-order). It's coming out on 12" vinyl and CD, and it's been fully remastered.
"It's a miracle that this master survived," frontman Dr. Frank tells us. "When I first started gathering and inventorying what was left of the old tapes, it was was nowhere to be found and I gave it up for lost. Eventually, while looking for something else, I found a safety copy on DAT amid a jumble of press and promo materials in an old bag of stuff. I guess it had fallen in there at some point from somewhere else. (Like the master for my solo album, which turned out to have been inadvertently stored for many years in an old boot.) The next question was, would it play and could the 'information' be extracted from it? The answer was yes, obviously, but it was mostly just luck."

MTX "And the Women Who Love Them" reissue out August 14th, 2023 on 12" EP and CD. We've work tirelessly over the past two-years readying the MTX archive for reissue and now all of that work has paid off. This EP was lovingly remastered by Justin Perkins specifically for vinyl--this is the first time the EP has been released on vinyl and the results are incredible. This has to be the best sounding MTX reissue that we've done.

The first pressing is limited to 600 copies (on Metallic Silver). There are 300 on 180-gram sold directly through Sounds Rad and 300 on 150-gram via stores. Not surprisingly the dibs list for the 180-gram vinyl exceeded capacity within a few hours offering the record. But there still is an opportunity to grab one of the 150-gram by joining our cadre, club, cabal of MTX fans through the Sounds Rad Dibs List. Join us. Pre-orders begin July 8th, 2023.

We have this really crazy idea: every month or so, we hope to offer a limited t-shirt and pin based on a song from the Mr. T Experience, "Mtx forever" double LP. That's 24 shirts, which is MADNESS! Can we do it?! Do you we have the fortitude? The short answer is, possibly. As with every journey into the depths of madness, you have to take the first step. So for June, we've come up with a cool design based on "Love American Style" based on the hit 70's feel-good TV show, which introduced the world to Happy Day's, but made manifest to a generation of punks by the Mr. T Experience.

Sounds Rad is excited, no, ecstatic to announce the release of the Mr. T Experience, "Mtx forever" best of double LP. This 24 track "hot rocks" compilation is a fans dream--remastered and compiled over the last two-years from the original master tapes. "Mtx forever" songs spanning over 30 years of the Mr. T Experience's catalog of "hits." 

Beginning on Monday, January 20th, 2023, fans will be able to call dibs on a special edition of the “Mtx forever” double LP on 180-gram vinyl. This highly limited (300 copies) double LP features gorgeous lavender vinyl and a full-color gatefold jacket and sleeves. This edition is the ultimate Mr. T Experience release—representing the input from countless  ​friends and fans. It is a release worthy of the band’s 30 years of “Songs about girls.” All pre-orders of the double LP will also receive a limited “MTX forever” large format poster—all shipped in a special full-color box.

“MTX forever” kicks off the reissues of the Mr. T Experience discography on Sounds Rad. Dr. Frank spent two-years searching, archiving, and transcribing their entire catalog of releases. Now, they are carefully remastered by Justin Perkins of Mystery Room Mastering. Each release will sound fuller and louder than the original releases owing to sourcing from the masters. These reissues give fans both new and old a chance to listen to the Mr. T Experience in a way that has never been presented before. These records will be a must-have for audiophile punks, geeks, and neer-do-wells to add to their collections.
